Joanne Levy is an executive and consultant with extensive experience in the broadcast and production industries. As Head of Television Production at Buffalo Gal Pictures she is working to increase the company’s television production activity.

During her career in Canadian broadcasting Joanne has worked as a TV news reporter; independent producer; communications consultant; and, for 10 years, senior broadcast executive responsible for commissioning original, independently produced Canadian programs and contributing to CRTC applications for new broadcast entities and renewal of existing broadcast outlets. She has a particular understanding of the needs of audiences and independent producers in regional centres.

Joanne has built a career marked by advocacy for the diversity of Canadian storytelling and talent. Her goal is to lead a team to create entertaining and enlightening programs for both Canadian and international distribution.
